PROGRAM MANAGER
Full Time Term Position

Fisher River Cree Nation Post Majority Care Services is presently seeking a Program Manager to work under the direction of the Director of Operations.  The FRCN Post Majority Care Services program will provide access to quality, holistic, culturally safe, targeted services and support, with a focus on providing supports to youth/young adults under the age of 26 who are aging out of or aged out of the child welfare system (according to eligibility).

Fisher River Cree Nation Post Majority Care Services will offer a range of core services that include, but are not limited to, the following key supports:

  • Education, employment and training support
  • Advocacy with social and community services
  • Culturally appropriate supports
  • Mental Health supports
  • Youth and Family Peer supports; and
  • Other services as identified by this age group of youth/adults affected by the child welfare system.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Developing and leading a broad range community consultation and youth co-design table, which will inform and guide the creation and development of the Post Majority Care Program.
  • Facilitating and implementing the overall vision for Post Majority Services throughout the Fisher River Cree Nation membership, on and off reserve.
  • Working with government funders to ensure alignment to policies and priorities.
  • Developing partnerships and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, inclusive of youth / young adults.
  • Engaging effectively with local and outside organizations to ensure a collaborative, multi-sectoral approach.
  • Providing leadership and accountability while developing and implementing program services.
  • Maintain files.
  • Reporting as requested by all parties; Annually, Quarterly, etc.
  • Must provide Criminal Record, Child and Adult Abuse Registry Checks.
  • Must adhere to FRCN Policies & Procedures, including the Illegal Drug By-law, etc;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Social Work and management experience; or equivalent education and experience.
