Notice regarding the Peguis First Nation Check Point Curfew of 9:00pm
10/22/2020

Please be advised that Fisher River Cree Nation community members looking to get through the Check Points passed the 9:00pm Peguis Curfew will be able to do so. However; there is a “No Stopping” order implemented, this means you cannot stop anywhere in Peguis First Nation after 9:00pm; an escort by the Peguis First Nation Safety Officers may be issued to ensure there is no stopping during this time.

Fisher River Health Services COVID-19 Bulletin #7 – October 21, 2020

Leadership would like to advise the community that one individual has tested positive for COVID-19 at the Ochekwi-Sipi Personal Care Home (OSPCH) which was identified in the October 20, 2020 dashboard. The individual was at the OSPCH between the dates of October 17-19, 2020. We want to also ensure the community that the individual is not an Elder/Resident of the OSPCH.

Due to the recent outbreak of cases of COVID-19 in the community, Leadership has made the decision to move forward with a Travel Ban. Along with the establishment of these measures, a curfew will also begin. Fisher River Cree Nation is still in a State of Emergency which began on March 26, 2020 and enables Leadership to implement measures to protect the members of the community.
