Community Program Assistant
Term Position with potential extension
Fisher River Human Resource Program is presently seeking a highly motivated and enthused individual for the position as Community Program Assistant. Main function of the position is to work with the Community to provide the employment training programs
Key Duties:
- Set up Training Programs within the Community
- Work with Public to assess programs needed within the Community
- Participate in planning committees/working groups
- Provide Back Up for Administrative Support
- Assist Clients with Resumes
- Arms Data Entry (Training will be provided)
- Carry out appropriate record keeping functions as required
- Participate in regular staff meetings, staff development and training sessions
- Work within Fisher River Cree Nation policies, procedures and philosophy
- Establish points of contact with employers and training programs
- Work extensively with the public
- Manage the Summer Employment and Mentorship Programs
- Must provide with Resume: Criminal Record Check, Child and Adult Abuse Registry Check.
- And other duties as assigned
Employment Requirements:
- Office Assistant Certificate (preferred)
- Proficient with computers (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Email, Internet)
- Oral communication; Working with others
- Problem solving, decision making, job task planning and organizing,
- Punctual, meticulous, reliable and able to work independently
- Able to work with Community and outside Organizations
