Housing Internship Initiative – Term Position
(September 2025 to March 27, 2026)
SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the A/Housing Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing a wide range of duties in assisting the housing department. This funding is part of the Housing Internship Initiative for First Nations and Inuit Youth program.
DUTIES:
- Work under supervision of Housing Manager and/or Assistant with clerical duties,
- Experience and knowledge working with computer,
- Must be familiar with Microsoft programs (Word and Excel),
- Must have good communication and organization skills,
- Assist with the housing filing system,
- Must have ability to take direction,
- Will be working out of the Band Office,
- Assist in Field Work, such as cleaning HRV and geothermal filters,
- Inspect completion of work orders
- Ensure that all communication, tasks are handled with a high degree of confidentiality,
- Must adhere to FRCN Policies & Procedures, including the Illegal Drug By-law, etc;
- Must submit Criminal Records Check, Adult and Child Abuse Registry Check with Resume.
- Youth Position: Ages 16 to 30
- Term Position: Potential Start date September 2, 2025 – March 27, 2026
- Other duties as assigned
