Full Time Term Clinic Nurse-LPN
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Community Health Nurse, the Clinic Nurse is responsible for planning, organizing and assisting with medical and health clinics as needed; and ensuring the completion and upkeep of required reporting and documentation. Health Clinics include some of the following, Physician Clinics, Pre/Post Natal Clinics, Immunization, Health Education and other nursing related duties; and with other health and local resources.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Active practicing membership with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM)
- Current CPR & First Aid; BTLS/ITLS Certification an asset
- Knowledge of Fisher River Cree Nation traditions an asset;
- Trained or willing to train and be certified to perform duties in treatment, intervention and preventative health care;
- Knowledge of eChart MB, Accuro, EMR and Telehealth, willing to train;
- Facilitate and maintain strong prevention and awareness sessions/workshops/groups and/or individual teachings;
- Maintain a professional code of ethics when assisting the nursing department with direct services to members and their families who are seeking local and external services
- Multidisciplinary team approach;
- Excellent organizational and motivational skills;
- Able to take direction and follows through to completion of tasks;
- Excellent communication and writing skills;
- Excellent physical, mental and emotional health;
- Proficient in office skills/computerized systems;
- Must abide by Fisher River Cree Nation’s Policies and By-laws;
- Adhere to Criminal Record Check, Adult/Child Abuse Registry and testing for Illegal Drug;
- Must have own vehicle and a valid Manitoba driver’s license;
- Must be willing to travel when required.
