Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Personal Care Home (PCH) Executive Director, the Dietary Supervisor is responsible for the overall operation of the Dietary Department which includes; providing a quality assured and nutritious food service for the residents, visitors, and staff, managing an effective and efficient team of dietary staff, establishing and managing a quality assured safe and clean dietary work environment, and managing the department budget in a cost-effective manner.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Food Service Management course or must be willing to take relevant training.
- Two years’ experience in a Supervisory role or managing/directing projects, employees, and budgets.
- Valid Food Handlers certificate including current valid re-certification.
- First Aide/CPR certificate including current valid re-certification, or willing to acquire.
- Subject to a Criminal Record Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills including computerized processes skills.
- Reliable, responsible, and accountable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work under stressful situations and must therefore be physically, mentally, and emotionally healthy.
- Ability to work effectively as a team player and establish and maintain positive working relationships.
- Demonstrated knowledge in the areas of therapeutic and special diets.
- Commitment to continuing professional development and keeping current with dietary developments and practices.
