Notice to Community Members Regarding Illegal Drug Activity

The Chief & Council would like to notify community members that there is a “Banishment By-Law” in place to members and non-members if they are caught in the community selling illegal drugs.

Anyone caught selling illegal drugs will be banished as per By-Law No. 2004-1 Subsection 3.00, and 3.01, 3.02.

The Chief & Council would also like to remind individuals that if they see any illegal drug activity taking place, please call the RCMP – 204.372.6329 or the Fisher River Safety Office – 204.308.0553.

In addition, Under Section 3.03 of the bylaw it states that, “No person shall harbour an individual who has been removed or banished pursuant this By-Law.” This is a crime and anyone caught harboring will be subject the “Banishment By-Law” and will face criminal charges.
