We are excited to announce our Emcee for the 20th Annual Community Celebration – Winston Wuttunee!
A household name in the Canadian Music industry since 1973, Aboriginal entertainer Winston Wuttunee has wowed audiences across North America as well as Europe and Australia as a singer, keynote speaker, and comedian.
Born and raised in Saskatchewan, Winston is fluent in Cree, English, French, and has working knowledge of German. His formative years as a musician were spent in the Canadian Guards Regimental Band as a Clarinetist, which allowed him to broaden his musical repertoire to include Rock & Roll, Blues, Country & Western, Pop, and Classical. He has appeared in hundreds of newspaper articles and interviews, on national television, on radio, and in three movies. In 2002, he became a Recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award, an honour bestowed upon him by the Annual Aboriginal Awards. He is a proud father and grandfather to four boys, one daughter, and five grandchildren.

Johnny Pogo is an energetic, unpredictable force in stand up comedy—part boundary pusher, part lovable chaos generator, and fully committed to leaving audiences laughing, surprised, and occasionally wondering if they’re allowed to laugh that hard.
Johnny is a half Cree, half German comedian with the charisma of a rock star and the presence of Maui from Moana.
Johnny mixes cultural identity, sharp storytelling, and playful audacity into a style that feels both refreshing and fearlessly authentic. His comedy swings from outrageous observations to mischievous truths about life, identity, and the weirdness of being human.
Known for his high voltage stage energy, Johnny thrives on crowd interaction, spontaneous riffing, and moments that blur the line between stand up and pure comedic mayhem. Whether he’s headlining a show, tearing up an open mic, or popping up in unexpected places, he delivers the same thing every time: big laughs, big personality, and a performance you can’t ignore.
