During the wildfire season there may be times when high to extreme fire danger conditions require the Manitoba government to implement fire and travel restrictions within the province.
Restrictions are limits placed on any activity that has the potential to cause a wildfire under the current or forecasted fire danger conditions.
Restrictions:
- No fires permitted, full fire ban in effect;
- All motorized backcountry travel, including ATVs and other off road vehicles, is prohibited
- Motorized back country travel to access a remote cottage via forestry road, private road or trail.
You could be liable for the costs of putting out a wildfire if you are found to be the reason for a wildfire.
