The Fisher River Cree Nation is thrilled to welcome home, Valorie Orvis, as the new Children’s Advocate Director. In this critical role, Valorie will be responsible for providing strong leadership and advocacy support for the children and families of our community.

Valorie is a proud member of the Fisher River Cree Nation and brings over 20 years of experience working in the Child & Family Services sector. With her deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges facing Indigenous children and families, Valorie is perfectly positioned to amplify the voices of our youth and ensure they have access to the culturally-safe supports they deserve.

As the Children’s Advocate Director, Valorie will work tirelessly to represent the rights and best interests of our children. She will collaborate with community partners to address service gaps, enhance access to holistic programs, and develop innovative solutions to nurture the wellbeing of our youngest generation.

Valorie is located at the Human Resources Building.
