1 Full-time – Youth Support Worker Position (6 Month Term)

Under the direction of the Employment and Training Manager, the candidate must possess the following:

Qualifications for Youth Support Worker, must be able to:

  • Work as a team member and contribute to the center
  • Communicate well with children and youth
  • Out of school for 6 months
  • Are motivated to work independently
  • Have a positive attitude to influence youth
  • Be a role model to the youth of the community
  • Be between the ages of 18-29 years of age
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends
  • Hours of work 2:00pm- 10:00pm, hours may fluctuate
  • Grade 12 Diploma an asset
  • Fisher River Band Member

Duties of the Youth Support Worker:

  • Lead and coordinate leisure programs for youth
  • Plan, implement and evaluate programs for the youth
  • Schedule and arrange for leisure activities for community
  • Create awareness for youth programs
  • Implement Activities with holistic approach (Physical, mental, spiritual and emotional)
  • Daily janitorial and maintenance of the youth drop-in center (Indoor and outdoor)
